Whether you want to create a classic fantasy RPG, a futuristic sci-fi adventure, or a high-school romance story, MADO can help you make the perfect windows to match your game world.
In this article, we will show you how to use MADO and what features it offers. We will also give you some tips on how to create your own original window graphic parts and how to optimize them for SEO.
What is MADO
MADO is a tool created for the RPG Maker MV series. It lets you customize the window graphic used in your game. MADO includes 50 themes for frame, corners and background patterns. You can choose from different styles such as standard, modern, pop, material, machine and other. You can also mix and match different parts to create your own unique window design.
MADO is easy to use and does not require any coding skills. You just need to select the window frame and the pattern for each scene (such as message, battle, menu) and MADO will do the rest. You can preview your changes in real time and adjust them as you like.
MADO also installs a plugin to your desired project. This is how it will modify the windows of your game. You can enable or disable the plugin at any time from the RPG Maker MV Tools menu.
How to Use MADO
To use MADO, you need to have RPG Maker MV installed on your computer. You can buy RPG Maker MV from Steam or from the official website. You also need to have a project that you want to customize with MADO.
Once you have everything ready, follow these steps:

There is a guide to help you use it in the Help Tab.
That's it! You can now start customizing your game windows with MADO. You can select different themes and parts from the left panel and see how they look on the right panel. You can also change the color and opacity of each part from the bottom panel. You can save your changes by pressing the Save button on the top right corner.
How to Create Your Own Window Graphic Parts
If you want to create your own original window graphic parts, you can do that too with MADO. You just need to follow some simple steps:
Go to the Root Folder of the Tool. Normally this is in Steam\\steamapps\\common\\RPG Maker MV\\tool\\MADO\\Parts
You will see an img folder. This is where you will place the new window graphics you wish to use.
Window_ID050 is a template that you can follow. Once you are done, simply name your new graphic as \"Window_ID0XX\" 0XX being the new number. This is the unique ID of your graphic.
The thumbs folder is a small preview of your newly made window graphic to display on the tool itself. Make sure to add a thumb image on your newly created graphic as well!
Go back to parts folder and open setting.json. At the very end of \"category\": \"All\" add your newest window graphic such as \"051\"
Then add the same ID based on which category you want to set it to. If your new window graphic classifies as fantasy, go to \"category\": \"Standard\" and add the latest id at the very end of the id. It would look like something like this: \"id\": [\"001\",\"006\",\"007\",\"009\",\"011\",\"012\",\"017\",\"018\",\"036\",\"037\", \"051\"]
